Fall into the GAP this September!

We have declared September "Global Awareness Project Month." We are shouting it from the rooftops and across the globe. We are promoting service and art. We are passionate about new ideas and outside of the box thinking. We don't play by the same rules as everyone else. We live with integrity!

The production of our 2010 Calendar "Synergy" is in full swing. Twelve local artists were paired up with twelve non-profit organizations. With the freedom to collaborate and create we will give you a taste of these partnerships, in their words...

Careteam Splendor by Elken D. Grate

My experience is just a grand addition to the story, that I told many
of you. I love creating for a reason
and providing new, from approach, to the birthing of something
extravangant. Continuing along my destined
path I received an honoring email stating that I was one of the select
few to participate in such a glorious
opportunity. From the perfect teaming up to the Sun City's dineout,
meeting new people, sparking more
opportunity to create with a grand purpose in mind, linking together
to create "Community." This is the
beginning of this tag team duo. Expect more and lookout for November
because losing you in my sublime
is my focus. Stay tuned listeners...

First day of school for GAP???

Global Awareness Project has had one eventful summer. From hosting the Art Walks at The Market Common to selecting our partners for the 2010 calendar to getting ready to hire an intern to help with some of the administrative load we have accumulated in the last 2 1/2 years. We have found running a non-profit organization to be one of the most rewarding yet challenging things we have ever done. But, the support of our friends, the community and pushing GAP to a place where it can stand on it's own two feet is a bit like watching all of the parents today on facebook talking about sending their child off to school. Like a proud parent, we are ready to take the leap into the next phase of our organization and let go of the reins and trust that we built a strong enough foundation to make it last.

GAP Selects 2010 Calendar Partners

Global Awareness Project's Board of Directors selected non-profits for their 2010 Calendar themed "Synergy" this week. Local artist also applied and were selected to partner with the non-profit to create the art piece that will be highlighted in the calendar.GAP's board chose the theme "Synergy" to reflect the importance of collaboration and working together to create a better community.

Over 20 local non-profit organizations applied to be in the calendar and the selection process was very tough. All organizations that applied were more than worthy and in need of promotional support. In the end though, only 12 can be featured in our 3rd Annual Non-Profit Promotional Calendar.
